Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 03/04/2026.

At GOSHH, we are committed to making our website accessible and inclusive for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

Our website has been created to introduce visitors to GOSHH, a social enterprise developing a mobile app, and to help people understand what it means to be a GOSHH prototype tester. The site also allows interested users to learn more about our mission and register their interest in user testing.

What web accessibility is

An accessible website allows people with disabilities to browse and use the site with the same, or a similar, level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can include using assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers, and voice recognition tools.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have worked to adapt this website in line with WCAG 2.1 guidelines and aim for Level AA accessibility where possible.

As part of this effort, we have taken steps such as:

  • using Wix accessibility tools to identify and improve accessibility issues

  • setting the main language of the site

  • using clear page structure and heading hierarchy

  • writing content in plain, readable language

  • adding alternative text to meaningful images

  • checking colour contrast to improve readability

  • supporting keyboard navigation where possible

  • reducing unnecessary motion and visual effects

  • reviewing content to improve compatibility with assistive technologies

About GOSHH and prototype testing

GOSHH is a social enterprise building a mobile app to make giving more local, transparent, and inclusive.

The idea behind GOSHH is to help donated items create visible and meaningful impact in real people’s lives. For example, an item donated by one person may be sold to help raise funds for someone with a genuine local need.

As a GOSHH prototype tester, you may be invited to explore early versions of the website or app experience, review concepts, and share feedback to help us improve usability, accessibility, trust, and inclusivity before launch.

Ongoing improvements

We recognise that accessibility is an ongoing process, and we are continually working to improve the experience for all users. As GOSHH develops, we aim to keep reviewing and improving the accessibility of our website and digital services.

Third-party content

Some parts of the website may include third-party tools, links, or embedded content that are outside our direct control. Where this applies, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of those third-party services, but we aim to use accessible options wherever possible.
